Happy Cabin was the prefect place for our two families; 4 adults, 4 kids, and three dogs. It’s location to the lake and town was just a short walk which we loved every morning. The cabin is cozy and chic. The adults loved the two easy to use fireplaces, hot tub, the stocked kitchen, large couch, smart TVs, and the fact that we could bring our dogs. The kids loved the bunk beds and lockers in their room. It’s not a huge place, but it’s not small either. The nice large couch fit us all and the dining table was large enough for a beautiful thanksgiving dinner. Happy Cabin was so cozy. We just loved it all.

We had great time staying at the Happy Cabin. Location was perfect. Within 20-30 minutes of NorthStar, Alpine and Squaw. Walking distance to the Safeway and a short drive to Tahoe City. Space is stylish and cozy. Beds were very comfortable. Kitchen was well appointed and we cooked every day. Can’t wait to return.

Blown away by the quaint beauty of this cabin. Seemingly infinite sleeping areas, a kitchen stocked with spices and appliances, and a backyard to die for.... who could ask for more? We loved the visits from the friendly dogs across the street and spent every night in the hot tub! Everything great about a hotel: fresh fluffy towels, crisp bedding, tons of shampoo/soaps, great WiFi and communication. BUT enjoyed in the coziness of Happy Cabin. Truly a deserved name!

Heather is an excellent host. Every time I had a question she responded to me within 5 minutes with an extremely detailed and helpful answer. The hot tub is perfect after a long day of skiing at Squaw or any of the other mountains. The place was very clean and is located in the perfect location not to far from the town. There was a ton of towels and soaps available. The beds were extremely comfortable in every room. The driveway and yards were completely shoveled even after a huge storm just hit. I would 100% recommend staying here and will be coming back.

If you want to explore outside or enjoy music, games, and relaxation inside, “Happy Cabin” will be your perfect choice! The kitchen is well stocked. The beds are homey and comfortable. Our visit took us through a HUGE 3day snow storm! The cabin fireplace kept us warm and cozy. The perfect place for reading, relaxing, and watching the snow fall out all the downstairs windows. The master bedroom glass door allowed us a magnificent view of the enchanted snow covered golf course meadow. We appreciated the almost instant hot water for showers. Heather was easily available to answers our questions. We highly recommend Happy Cabin!

This was our first ever Airbnb stay and I have to say it was amazing. It felt like home because everything was exactly where you would expect it to be. The bed was super soft compared to hotels, the towels were even softer than hotels. This place was close to everything: walking distance to the store and the lake. We spent most of our time in front of the fireplace playing cards while the snow just kept coming down. We are never going to stay in another hotel again I can promise you that.

My family and I absolutely loved our stay here! The cabin looks professionally decorated and is stocked well with everything you will need for your stay. Some places can be a let down in reality while the pictures looked great but with this cabin the pictures don’t do it justice. It’s warm and perfect! We really appreciated how clean everything was and that everything worked and operated great. There is a little book to answer any questions you have about how to use the hot tub or where to put the trash etc. and if you can’t find an answer for a need there both Eben and Heather were very quick to respond with help when I reached out to them. It is also such a good location with close proximity to cute shops, restaurants and a grocery store. We walked our dog to the lake every morning and sat in the hot tub each night. We will surely be staying here again!

Heather and Eben's place was excellent. We had a group of 2 couples and two infants. Property was big enough that at night when the babies were fussy, the couple on the second floor couldn't hear the crying baby on the bottom floor. The property is perfectly located if you are looking for something close to the water and restaurants/bars of North Tahoe, but also very close to Northstar. They have great reviews, so no surprise that everything went well. We loved it, and would stay there again.

My husband and I just got married over the weekend and chose Heather and Eben’s cabin in Tahoe Vista for our “mini-moon.” Happy Cabin was clean, cozy, stylish and relaxing — everything we were looking for after our intense wedding week. They offered us early check in, let us know about a door code issue before we even knew there was a problem, and didn’t hesitate to reach out to let us know they were taking care of things. They even left us a note of welcome before we got there with a little box of chocolates, a gesture that was so unexpected but made us feel special all the same. We can’t wait to spend more time at Happy Cabin!

My family had an amazing time at the Happy Cabin. The space is beautiful—quality linens, lovely decor, immaculately clean, and the location is wonderful. We had a great time sitting out on the sunny deck, listening to the wind through the trees. The kitchen is stocked with anything you need to cook family meals (and the store is very close by). The cabin is a very short drive from the lake and nearby hiking trails. The owners are super responsive and lovely people. We had the best stay and can’t wait to return.

This place is top notch! As much as I would love to keep this hidden gem my little secret, it deserves to be shared with the rest of the world. This is the place you want to stay! Heather and her husband were so responsive and accommodating. The house is cozy, stylish, and well stocked. My friends and I enjoyed our stay to the max and we hope to return to Happy Cabin. We had more than enough room for all guests (including dogs!). We utilized the games, excess throw blankets, grill, hot tub, and outdoor area. All in all, I have nothing but a GLOWING review.

It has everything you could ask for and then some, plus it is in a great location on a golf course just minutes from Kings Beach State Recreation Area and downtown. Kiddos, parents, Granny and Pa visited over the busy Labor Day holiday. The best endorsement for this cabin, after seeing the pictures, at least 4 of our friends asked for the listing so that they could do the exact trip. This cabin was easy to get to and had flat and ample parking. This is good in summer, a must in winter. We stay in a LOT of Airbnb’s, this cabin had an excellent layout. Large living area and this cabin is one of the few places that comfortably seats 6 (and more) for dining. Large bedroom, bathroom with a tub and washer, dryer downstairs. Large kids hang out bedroom with bunks, lockers as storage and TV upstairs. Another bedroom and bathroom upstairs as well. The decor is contemporary and uncluttered. Plenty of towels, beds have newer styled fresh linen. We had a fun time in this comfy cabin.

This cabin is great. Everything you could need is there including washer and dryer. The outdoor space has couch, table, gas grill, loungers and chairs as well as the hot tub. It's 5-10mins walk to kings beach and along with a nice beach there are bars and restaurants there. We had a great time! Thanks very much.

What a wonderful little mountain gem! Tucked discretely off the beaten path, this little cabin was cozy, roomy, and sparkled with modern mystic charm. The owners clearly have good taste in art and music, and an eye for design.

The cabin is older and it's many years of gentle hospitality gives it a rustic family experience with the amenities of a modern home. With plenty of room for 2-3 families, an intimate outdoor hot tub to soak away the aches of a long day on the slopes, and adjacent to acres of open space for snow-angels and sleds, this is THE spot if you want to stay away from the craziness of South Lake Tahoe, and still have the amenities of Truckee and nearby ski resorts.

The location is perfect and the house is so cute with all the decor. It was so cute and cozy and we had such a great time. The WiFi was in and out due to the freezing temperatures (which is to be expected) but Heather went above and beyond to help get the WiFi up and running right away. The bed was extremely comfortable and all the linens were so soft. The kitchen also had everything we needed and more! Highly recommended!

This cabin is awesome and ideal for a couple of families. The location is fabulous, so easy to get to and everything around you is convenient. You can even walk to the grocery store. The bedrooms were great and the bunks are awesome- the kids room has got it all. The bedding everywhere is ridiculously cozy and comfy which was such a treat with all that snow. Love love loved the hot tub and the amazing views from the hot tub, wow! Overall such a wonderful and cozy cabin, really great style and decor throughout. we will be back this summer!

What a wonderful cabin. We spent four nights at Happy Cabin and were so impressed with the comfort of the cabin, the stylish decor of the cabin (I've never stayed in a cabin that was this beautiful), the well stocked provisions and the fact that our dog could join us. Many nights were spent around the long dining room table eating meals, playing games, and relaxing in the living room after wonderful days of skiing. The only drawback was that the internet was incredibly spotty, not working for full days, but the net effect of that was that we had four 17 years olds sitting around the table with us playing games and not on their cell phones. The perfect family vacation. Thank you!!!!

The absolute PERFECT location for my relaxing bachelorette weekend! The location is very quiet and serene, but not far from great outdoor fun! The place covers in snow beautifully! We made a wonderful thanksgiving meal and loved how open the space was which allowed us to interact with friends. 2 couples, with 2 kids and a dog was plenty of room for us and the kids loved the bunk beds upstairs! We had a great and wonderful time at the cabin. The cabin was inviting and everything was thought through. The location is convenient and Heather/Eben were very responsive regarding any questions we had. We would definitely try and go back again.

 The Happy Cabin is lovely! Heather was a communicative host, and the guestbook was filled with local recommendations. The space is stylish and fits the Tahoe-vibe. Proximity to King's Beach is fantastic! We enjoyed happy hour drinks and apps at the golf course restaurant after a fun day at the lake. Highly recommend!

We had a lovely time at the cabin.The rooms were so thoughtfully decorated. The outdoor dining and hot tub scene were the highlight of our stay. The kids had the best time running in circles around the cabin. So much to explore inside and outside. Thank you!

We had a great time. The cabin was well equipped with everything we needed. All the appliances were clean and new. The cabin was in a safe quiet neighborhood. It was nice walk to the beach and Safeway. Very clean! We would stay here again!

This place was great. The house was stylish and clean. We didn’t lack anything. Kitchen was well stocked, linens were clean and comfortable, towels were soft, plush and clean, the cabin was cozy and the hot tub was a nice touch. Heather was very quick to respond and check in was a breeze. The location is also fantastic, very close to beach, town, groceries and lake. We would be glad to come back. Thank you, Heather.

Heather’s house was amazing and exactly as advertised, she was very communicative and pleasant to deal with. The location was great!! - We did a few Safeway runs to load up on groceries, other than that we didnt really leave the place, Everybody in my party slept comfortably and we all enjoy ourselves with a fun group barbeque dinner, followed by a splash in the hottub, then some warm tea in her comfy living room while playing some cool music from her vinyl recorder. our memories were incredible and we will always have this house in our hearts. Happy Cabin is the perfect name for this home! Its location, comfort, decor, and owners make it such a great place to stay. My husband, 3-year-old son, 8-month-old daughter, and our family dog came here to play in the snow. The house is located on a golf course, so in the snowy winter, there is unobstructed view of a winter wonderland. We were able to build a snowman and play in the private snowy yard where our dog had a great time galloping through the snow. Most dog-friendly Airbnbs where we’ve stayed in the past have been run down with worn furniture, but not Happy Cabin. The decor is a perfect combination of having a cabin feel yet is modern, tasteful, and is so clean. The beds, linens, and towels are extremely comfortable! We all slept great! The house is located close to Safeway (a quick stop was needed to get some hot chocolate) and North Tahoe Regional Park, which has fantastic sledding hills. Heather and Eben are great with communication. There were winter storm warnings the day we were supposed to leave and the owners were so kind about understanding our hesitation to leave and checked in often to see if we might want to stay another night. They even contacted me hours after we left to ensure we made it home safely. We had such a great time at Happy Cabin and would love to visit again!
