Autumn Equinox Marks the Start of Fall Festivities

Happy Autumn! Today is officially the fall equinox, one of two days in the year when the Sun is exactly above the equator, making day and night the same length. With our first snow already behind us, it feels like the seasons are turning especially quickly this year. Yet the Farmer’s Almanac predicts the first big storms to hit in January, leaving a few more months of shoulder season to enjoy. It’s time to pack a sweater, watch for turning leaves, and celebrate the autumn magic. It wouldn’t be fall in Lake Tahoe without a line-up of festive events to help you celebrate.
